Repeat Prescriptions

When using Medicine Management online (ordering prescriptions)/prescription queries) please do not leave other messages regarding appointments, change of address or messages for clinicians with your request for medication - this is just  for medication requests/queries only, nothing else.

You can send an online message into surgery for a clinician but for appointments you need to look online for availability or telephone surgery and for change of address you will need to complete the form online or in surgery.

The preparation of repeat prescriptions is electronic. On the right-hand-side of your prescription paper, there will be a list of your medications. When you require a repeat prescription please tick the box against the items you require and forward it to the surgery.
Or you can telephone the POD (please see below).

Telephone Prescription Requests

We do not take prescription requests over the telephone. You can now call the Prescription Ordering Service (POD) on 02476 246072. They will take your prescription requests over the telephone for you and your medication will be ready to collect in 48 hours as normal.

Online Prescription Requests

Alternatively you can order prescriptions online via the link at the top of this page if you are registered for online services. New users are required to complete a simple registration form which is available at reception. If you wish to register for online services, please ensure you bring photo ID with you to the surgery. Please note, if you are a new patient with us, you must have been registered at the practice for 3 months before you can sign up to online services.

A Pharmacy can collect your prescription

You can request a pharmacy to collect your prescription from the surgery or you can have electronic prescriptions, which is where your prescription is sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice (known as EPS). If you would like to choose this way of obtaining your prescription, please inform reception of your nominated pharmacy and we will arrange for your prescription to go directly to them.

Local Pharmacy Services

Patients can request that their prescriptions are sent electronically (EPS) to their preferred pharmacy and collect their medications directly from them.

Patients can also consider the repeat dispensing arrangements in which your designated pharmacy stores repeat prescriptions & dispenses them at intervals; ask at the desk for a leaflet.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and a notification should appear on your repeat slip when you are due a review. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
