MB BS MRCGP
Dr Martyr was born in Sheffield but attended schools in Scarborough before graduating from Newcastle upon Tyne Medical School in 1981. She then spent a further 4 years on Tyneside, gaining experience in medicine, surgery, obstetrics & gynaecology, paediatrics and psychiatry. She received additional training for General Practice both on Tyneside and on moving to Tayside, near Dundee, where she gained 4 years experience in General Practice and Community Paediatrics.
She moved to Rugby in 1989 and has been with us since November 1999.
In her spare time, she enjoys photography, gardening and knitting.
|Dr Mark Lindsey (m)|
MB BS B Med Sci 1995 (Nottingham) MRCGP
Dr Lindsey graduated from Nottingham University Medical School in 1995. After undergoing surgical training and a spell in Accident and Emergency, he is now a committed General Practitioner, although he maintains an interest in ENT, emergency medicine and minor operations. He was born and brought up locally in Kenilworth and still has family in Warwickshire.

MB BS MRCGP DRCOG
Dr Chopra graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, India in 2002. Following her internship in New Delhi, she continued her postgraduate education in the UK, culminating in the Coventry & Warwickshire GP Vocational Training Scheme. She gained wide experience in all aspects of General Practice, including her qualification in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and is now a GP trainer. Dr Chopras is the GP tutor for Rugby and has a lead role in primary care quality within Coventry & Rugby CCG.
|Dr Charlotte Davies (f)|
MBBS DRCOG DCH
Studied medicine at Cambridge University, Barts and the London Medical School. Qualified as doctor in 1999. She completed MRCGP in 2004 and have worked as a GP since then.
Has a special interest in child health and is developing an interest in Diabetic management.
|Dr C Middlemiss (f)|
Dr Middlemiss works at the surgery on a Tuesday morning. Dr Middlemiss graduated from Aberdeen University in 2005. She worked as a junior doctor in the North East of Scotland before moving to Warwickshire to train as a GP. In addition to working at Westside, she also works at Warwick Medical School, training medical students and has an interest in Substamce Misuse.

MBChB MRCGP MRCS (Eng) DECOG DFSRH DipMedEd
Dr Liz McEvoy graduated from medical school in Bristol in 1999, before working in Australia for a year and then training in General Surgery in the West Country on returning to the UK. Her interest in medical education brought her to Warwickshire in 2006 when she worked as a Clinical Lecturer at Warwick Medical School for three years. She then trained in General Practice and gained additional skills in minor surgery, family planning, and end-of-life care. In addition to working at Westside she also works on-call for the Myton Hospices. She is currently working to become a trainer of aspiring GPs.
Away from work she is the mum of three boys, a Beaver Scout Leader and enjoys cross country running.
|Dr Tom Courtenay-Evans (m)|
Dr Courtenay-Evans joined Westside in July 2017.
Dr Courtenay-Evans qualified in Zoology with BSc hons from London University in 1995. Worked in financial services until 2005 when he started a medical degree at Warwick. He graduated from Warwick Medical School in 2010. Dr Courtenay-Evans completed foundation hospital training in Coventry & Warwickshire in 2013 and completed vocational GP training scheme in Coventry & Warwickshire in 2016. He also works for Warwick OOH GP service and is a learning facilitator at WMS. Dr Courtenay-Evans has a developing interest in Drug & Alcohol misuse also.
